IMPORTANT EVENT NOTICE: Effective January 1st, 2022

Dear CMAA Members:

As the COVID-19 Delta variant continues to impact the country, CMAA seeks to provide in-person national events of the quality expected by its members while minimizing the risks to their health and safety. As such, the CMAA Board of Directors has approved an update to CMAA's events policy.

Effective January 1, 2022, all participants at CMAA nationally hosted events must be fully vaccinated. Coupled with our existing mask policy and other proactive measures, we are determined to make our events as productive, interactive, and safe as possible by requiring vaccinations for entry.

This policy will apply to the:
  • 2022 World Conference and Club Business Expo in San Diego, CA;
  • Business Management Institutes;
  • Summits; and
  • any other official, in-person national meetings and gatherings.
Further the policy will be applicable for all individuals in attendance to include CMAA members, non-members, significant others/guests, partners, speakers, exhibitors, vendors, and national staff.

All participants will be required to provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccinated status to gain access to the event. Full vaccinated status is considered achieved when two weeks have passed since a person received a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Permissible vaccines are those approved by the World Health Organization (WHO)

If an attendee does not meet these requirements, they are NOT considered fully vaccinated and will not be permitted to enter the event.

(Please note: Individuals who are unable to receive the vaccine may submit an accommodation request and will be subject to alternative testing requirements.)

Since the return of in-person events earlier this year, CMAA has worked to adhere to and comply with all local regulations and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for our events. This new policy is congruent with recent state mandates. For example, California has already implemented a vaccination mandate for all indoor events exceeding 1,000 attendees, effective September 20, 2021. Additionally, the San Diego Convention Center is expected to announce its updated policy shortly.

Specific details and information on the implementation of this new policy, including how to provide proof of vaccination status, will be forthcoming.

Thank you for being a part of our vibrant CMAA community and I look forward to seeing you in San Diego, CA, February 19-23, 2022.

Sincerely,

Brian Kroh, CCM  - Event Chairman
